Summer Stars returns!
Apply for our 9-day, in-person camp
August 8-16, 2021
Summer Stars Camp for the Performing Arts provides deserving middle and high-school aged kids a 9-day, no-cost intensive residential summer camp experience in the performing arts. Our 22nd Camp takes place August 8-16, 2021 on the Northfield Mount Hermon campus in Gill, MA.
Summer Stars offers small group programs in acting, blues performance, dance, musical theater/choral singing, set design, juggling, drumming, and much more. Through our work together, campers come together as an artistic community and learn about their own ability to succeed through the performing arts.
Summer Stars is a 501-c3 and fully funded by donations. There is no charge to participants, and transportation is provided from the Boston and New York metro areas and select other locations (including some local military bases). The ideal candidate is a student who shows great interest and potential in the performing arts but who may not have the opportunities to fully explore and develop their talent due to financial need or lack of community resources. There is no audition, and experience in the performing arts is not required.
If you know other promising candidates who would benefit from this unique experience, feel free to share the link to our website and application materials: www.summerstars.org/come-to-camp. For more information, visit www.summerstars.org or our Facebook page: Facebook.com/CampSummerStars.
Completed applications, including one recommendation from a teacher or school guidance counselor, are due June 1, 2021.
Campers will be selected by our review committee, and successful applicants will be notified approximately June 15. At that time we will send out invitations, health forms and more specifics on coming to camp. Please plan on obtaining a Covid 19 vaccination if you are eligible to do so.

How to Apply
To attend Summer Stars as a Camper, you must be between 12 and 15 years old on August 8, 2021.
New Camper applications must include one reference from a teacher or guidance councilor.
To Join the Leadership Training Program as a Leadership Trainee or Junior Councilor, you must be 16-18 years old on August 8, 2021 and have attended High School during the 2020-21 academic year.
*Because we did not have an in-person program in 2020, for this year only, 16 year-olds who have attended camp in the past and are just now completing their Sophomore year can choose to attend as campers or to apply to the Leadership Training Program.
CDC Guidelines recommend Covid 19 Vaccinations for anyone 12 or older. We are evaluating our policy currently, but may require vaccinations to come to camp. Please take this opportunity to get your vaccination now, in time for it to be effective by August 8.
Please fill out only ONE of the applications below. If you are a new camper, you will also need to share the recommendation form link with your teacher or guidance councilor.
