Summer Stars Camp for the Performing Arts provides deserving middle and high-school-aged kids a free 9-day, residential summer camp intensive in the performing arts.  Our 25th Anniversary Year Camp takes place August 4-12, 2024 on the campus of the Northfield Mount Hermon School in Gill, MA. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Summer Stars offers small group programs in acting, musical theater and choral singing, dance-- from hip-hop to theatrical, instrumental performance, set design, juggling, puppets, drumming, music video creation and so much more. Through our work together, campers come together as an artistic community and learn about their own ability to succeed through the performing arts.

The ideal candidate is a student who interested in the performing arts but who may not have the opportunities to fully explore and develop their talent due to financial need or lack of community resources. There is no audition, and experience in the performing arts is not required. 

 

Camp is free to all campers. The Summer Stars Foundation is a 501-c3 and fully funded by donations. There is no charge for camp-- the entire program is FREE including meals & lodging and bus transportation from the Boston and New York metro areas (and select other locations, like some local military bases.)

How to Apply

​​

• To attend Summer Stars as a Camper, you must be between 12 and 15 years old as of August 4, 2024. Please note: Only an adult can create an account.

​

• New Camper applications must include one reference from a teacher or guidance councilor. If you are a new camper, please share the recommendation form link with your teacher or guidance councilor as soon as possible

​​

• To Join the Leadership Training Program as a Leadership Trainee or Junior Counselor, you must be a 16-17 year-old (as of August 4, 2024) who has attended Summer Stars as a camper in the past, and been in High School during the 2023-24 academic year.​​​
